We’re here to defend the honor of big cities.

We created this site in response to rhetoric coming from the 2008 Republican National Convention praising “Small Town Values” and putting down Community Organizers. Their message implies that people from cities have no values (which would be a problem because over 79% of the US population lives in Urban Areas). They also for some reason felt the need to ridicule Community Organizers. We found these messages to be mean-spirited and simply untrue.

There is no doubt that plenty of fine folks with fabulous values are living in small towns; we’re not here to put small towns down. But by no means are Big Cities void of people doing amazing, valuable things.

This site is for people to list their Big City Values and favorite community organizers. Please submit your entries and we may post them on the site.
