I think &quot;small town values&quot; (aside from being a political construction) means being an active part of a community, looking out for your neighbors and not just yourself. Big cities cultivate the same values in people. It&#039;s sprawl that endangers those values- often suburban developments don&#039;t even have sidewalks! As if they&#039;re discouraging people from walking. Not as though there&#039;s even anywhere to walk to- you have to drive out of your maze of a development and to the nearest strip mall, where maybe you can sit outside at starbucks and stare at the parking lot. I think suburbs are gross and soulless and embody everything that is wrong with modern America.</description>
