		<description>Thanks! Yes it is a fixie. I have one front brake, but I do most of my slowing down with my legs. Hills would be a challenge, but I LOVE riding fixed gear.</description>

I&#039;m interested on getting one but the thought of no brakes and one gear (we have a couple of big hills in my city) make me a bit uncomfortable.

		<description>I have to add the corollary, &quot;commuting by mass transit.&quot;  I&#039;ve taken the regional rail to work every day for years, and I pray that I will never be forced to drive to work.  The train is faster, immeasurably better for the environment and way more relaxing.  In addition, I actually get to see people, smile at them and even chat, as opposed to cursing at them from my hermetically sealed pod while they try to cut me off in gridlock. 
Mass transit = friendlier, cleaner, more chilled-out community!</description>
